Going to zoo...

To celebrate Memorial Day (and a day off of school) Will, Emmy and their cousins (Alicia, Desi and Anthony) all went to the Santa Ana Zoo.  It was such a fun afternoon with the cousins (and Nikki!)

i am in love with this weather today!!!  i love the smell of the rain in the air...i love the sound of the rain, the way it makes everything that is green greener...i love the thunder...i LOVE this weather!!!!!!  

okay...that's all...just had to say it!  i'm putting the finishing touches on my final paper to turn in and then i'll be officially done.  sigh...yeah!!!  

today's rain is a sweet treat in my day.  maybe we'll do breakfast for dinner since we were going to go to a bbq but decided to not go b/c will woke up throwing up (he is now totally fine which is crazy to me!  kids!!) and just want to lay low just in case...or maybe we'll walk up to the cafe in our rain gear!!  i'll let you know!

so...i have one more paper to turn in and i'll be done with school (for two weeks at least). so to celebrate being done with school, i got my hair done last night.  she cut it all off!  more bangs, more layers and short!  well...it still can make it into a teeny ponytail...it was about 6 inches.  it's blonder now...short and i'm adjusting!  are you doing anything to usher in summer?  

off to pick up the house and buy stuff to make my yummy tilapia dish for dinner with friends tonight (well...it's giada's yummy tilapia dish, not mine!) and to celebrate the laker game : )  

6am...

here i sit...6am...in my favorite back corner booth at panera bread...armed with a wholegrain w/ peanut butter bagel and the strongest black coffee they have...my abnormal psych book by my side (my best friend for the past 12 hrs) and study guide (thank you todd and brian!).  sigh... i wish i was back to sleep.  but, there is something to be said about being up with the sun, cramming things into my head...like it's part of the 'it's finals week' club.  it's my only motivator.  that and i don't want an F on my test!  

pray for me at 3pm!  that i can sift through all i'm cramming to choose the best response to the questions given today, to be able to coherently answer the essay question, and that i can stay awake tonight for ry and i to go out and celebrate me being done (we're going to see narnia!) 

summer break is sooooo close!!  (well...i have two weeks of summer then summer school)

hope you are all having a great day!! i had a great morning breakfast out with my mom, sister, ry and kiddos. then ry took the kids to church and my mom and sis went to the orange circle to do our yearly walk around antiquing!! it was amazing. i found a beautiful old magazine that was framed with the title "grandmamma" on it. that is what we called my grandma, so i with many tears in my eyes, bought it as a 'happy mothers day' gift for myself. it felt so good to have a little piece of our day with my "grandmamma" a little part of it as well.

Muscle Man

After bath time the other night, Will walks out in his cousin's (mind you, his cousin is 7yrs old!) basketball shorts flexing his muscles.  PRICELESS!!!  Ry wants to get him his own basketball shorts so they can wear them together.  Ah...i LOVE having a boy!!!

Girls night in...

Three girlfriends from my grad program came over for dinner on the patio, kite flying and pedicures.  (One sweet friend had to go home, we missed you, Grace!)  Lauren, Amy and I rotated stations, warming and massaging our feet, then putting them in a spa (Jess, if you are reading this, remember that spa you gave me forever ago as a sweet gift?!  still using it!!) then painting our toes.  All while watching "Mean Girls" (ah..that movie is great!)  It was such a fun night.

Here are the other photos from our night with the stumps that also was a girls night in with a couple of my friends from grad school.  We all enjoyed walking up to Mc Nally and having a BLAST at our 'backyard' kite flying night.  It was SOOO much fun!!  Aw...what $3 at Target can do!! (Can I say how much I LOVE Target??!!)
