What was I doing 10 years ago...
planning a wedding! I was 7 months away from being Mrs. Low (man, its already been 10 years!). I was freaking out because I had just completed two years of Biola with student loans (which we are still paying off...one down, one to go...then off to the grad school loans!) and decided I didn't want to be a school teacher. So, after a cry-fest in Ry's old white civic, we decided that I'd just keep working at the law firm I was working at at the time (AWG), move to full time if I could, and put Ry through the rest of his time at Talbot.
Things on my to-do list:
Um...I don't think I have enough space! Finish my faculty Talbot Application, finish 6 books by May 30th, write a case study...okay...enough school stuff...fun to do list-re-do our backyard, re-arrange and decorate our bedroom (we've never done it!) and plan Ry's birthday. oh...and to concur with Jenna-to finish a Jane Austin novel in it's entirety!
Bad habits-nail biting (although...i've not done it in 6 weeks!), concerned with people pleasing, shopping (we have NO money...I should not shop...but I just can't help myself...we should start a clothes sharing campaign! rotate wardrobes with friends every two months!) and procrastination (or is it just being tired because of having two children under 4 while in grad school full time and in full time live-in ministry?!?!)
Places I've lived-fullerton, ca-placentia, ca-Newport Beach, ca-Orange, CA-La Mirada, CA. all with in 10-30 min of each other. I'm pretty local...I lived in Brazil for 2 1/2 months one summer, does that count?
Things most people don't know about me:
um...I guess I'll use my friend Jen's comment about me today-i like hard boiled eggs, but just the whites, not the yoke. I like the yoke when scrambled or over easy, just not hard boiled.
what else...
I LOVE architecture...it lights me up inside being in old homes, structures, modern complexes...I think it's beautiful.
I love the outdoors and feel a peace from the Lord when laying under trees that is just overwhelming. I love His creation!
I am dairy intolerant although I can't seem to ditch it totally because of my complete LOVE of all things italian...I worked at a Law firm for about 8 years. I got the job from my boyfriend at the time and worked there till 2001.
When I walk into a home I see what it could become-how it can be re-arranged, painted, landscaped...my head just spins when i'm in homes. I love design.
But, I also LOVE the design of the soul and how to be present to people to hear their hearts and show them how the Holy Spirit can minister to them and show them the grace of Jesus...
we've lived in a college dorm with over 200 students for almost 8 years. and i've loved it.
oh...and i'm actually introverted and love having alone time.
okay...anyone else want to cut and paste this, have at it!
