Future

We went to Bend, Oregon to scope out some potential job leads. We are looking to leave Biola this year. Here is the bullet point update on the trip:

• loved bend
• could move there...for sure!!
  
• had 4 interviews/meetings with folks...it was long, but awesome!
  
• we're challenged about assoc. pastor positions vs. senior pastor positions (which should he choose if he has a choice)
• we are one of 3 candidates at a small church in sunriver, OR-15 min south of bend. we'd live in bend.
  
• we like the pastor at sunriver-ry'd be the assoc pastor and worship leader...he interviewed us both...i felt so included. such a blessing
  
• do we have chemistry with this pastor? could ry work with him? we'll see...we are not even hired yet : )
  
• turned in our packet to our denomination here...so we'll see what happens with that. maybe there are churches here that are open...doesn't seem like it.
  
• if we don't have anything by late march/april, we may stay on another year here at Biola and keep looking since the economy is so bad. i could work part time up at talbot and do direction while the kids were at school...ry would just stay an RD and worship director and keep looking
  
• my fam is sad but very much saying, 'go where you are being led' ry's parents are holding on for dear life to us... : ) not that my family isn't holding onto us that is ; )
  
• i think that's about it...
• my heart is torn-i'd love to stay in cali-it's all i/we know, but...i LOVED bend...i could live in both places. but is the kind of life we want for our kids doable here?
